The Winnipeg Singers consists of 24 trained voices. The Singers regularly appear as guests of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra, and have given concerts and workshops for social agencies, business firms, and schools. read more –>

Artistic Director

Yuri Klaz, celebrates his 14th season as Artistic Director of The Winnipeg Singers. Born in Russia, he was awarded the prestigious title, "Honoured Artist of Russia" by decree of President Boris Yeltzin in 1995. Mr. Klaz came to Canada in 2000. read more –>

Best Choir at International Festival

The highlight of The Winnipeg Singers' European Tour, July 2016, took place at the Florence International Choir Festival where the Singers were the winners of the Golden David, the award that goes to the best overall choir at the competition. The Singers also won two of the three categories they entered: chamber choir and sacred. read more –>

Precise entries and forward motion highlighted the Gloria, which, with its reverent joy was truly glorious. Tempo changes were seamless in the Credo as Klaz kept this flowing, separate parts wafting in and out like ribbons of silk.

We celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday with a youth choir, presenting choral works specic to Canadian landscapes. Guest choir will be the Mennonite Collegiate Chamber Choir from Gretna, conducted by Rick Heppner-Mueller.

FOOLS & HORSES hosts an intimate salon series to highlight preview excerpts from each upcoming Singers concert, as well as additional selections curated by choir members.

FOOLS & HORSES is a daytime coffee shop and after-hours arts venue at 379 BROADWAY, offering a relaxed setting to enjoy some of Winnipeg’s finest music over drinks and conversation.
