Paul Mayba

Paul began performing in the Winnipeg Music festival at the age of five. He has studied piano with Jean Broadfoot and voice with Herb Belyea and Phyllis Thomson. As a boy Paul sang with the Winnipeg Boys Choir. For many years Paul was a chorister and bass soloist with the Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral choir, conducted by his brother Dr. John Mayba. Paul has been the recipient of numerous awards at Winnipeg Music Festival. Paul has sung with the Hoosli Ukrainian Male Chorus for nineteen years and is currently the cantor at St. Michael’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Paul enjoys golf and hockey and collects sports memorabilia. He also has a collection of Inuit art.
